About the Role

Vermont Mechanical is seeking a skilled Plumber / Pipefitter to support projects across northwest Vermont and Clinton County, New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and industrial job sites while collaborating with experienced professionals across multiple trades.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to continue developing their career in plumbing and piping. Lead or foreman experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to support plumbing and piping system layout and installation
• Install, assemble, and test plumbing and piping systems according to project specifications and applicable codes
• Coordinate with other trades to support seamless system integration
• Assist with material and equipment planning
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members
• Support inspections and ensure work meets safety and regulatory standards
• Contribute to a safe, organized, and productive work environment

Qualifications

• Vermont Plumbing License preferred, or ability to obtain; equivalent experience considered
• Experience in plumbing and/or pipefitting in commercial or industrial settings
• Medical Gas certification is a plus
• Familiarity with Natural Gas or Propane systems is beneficial
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel within northwest Vermont and Clinton County, NY
• OSHA 10 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Solid communication skills and dependable work ethic
