Plumber's Helper ( Junior Plumber)

Work is focused on new, residential construction across the Hampton Roads area. Active driver’s license required.

Job Duties:

Assist senior plumbers with new installs, from slabs, rough ins, to finals. Should be able to follow directions and install new plumbing up-to-code.

Expectations:

Coordinate with Bob / Curtis to determine whether you need to arrive to the shop or head out to the jobsite directly. Should be ready to work at the jobsite or loading the truck by 7:30AM. Load the truck with necessary materials for the day. Once arrived at the job, follow the lead of the senior plumber and follow instructions. Should learn enough to eventually be told what to do and perform installs without explicit directions.

Duties Include:

• Learn from and assist the lead plumber with gathering and moving materials and tools
• Layout materials on jobsite as directed by lead plumber
• Help install new plumbing as directed by lead plumber
• Help load and unload the truck, keep it clean. Keep track of material.
• Unused materials should be brought back to the warehouse.

Qualifications:

• Willing to listen AND learn
• Have tools

Preferred:

• Proficient in math for measurements and calculating space for fittings
• Previous experience doing hardware related work and or labor-based jobs

Tools not provided, must have your own tools. Recommended to have battery operated tools charged as some jobsites do not have power.
