Good Water Company is a growing water treatment company specializing in commercial and residential water treatment systems. We provide installation, service, maintenance, and water quality solutions for a variety of customers, including residential homes, commercial facilities, medical facilities, surgery centers, and other businesses.

We are looking for a motivated **Plumbing Journeyman or Apprentice** to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for someone with plumbing experience who is interested in expanding their skills into the water treatment industry.

Position Overview

The Plumbing Journeyman / Apprentice will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service of commercial and residential water treatment systems.

The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and equipment, and willing to learn the technical aspects of water treatment.

In this position candidate may work alongside experienced technicians on projects involving:

• Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
• Deionization (DI) systems
• Water softeners
• Carbon filtration systems
• Filtration systems
• Water treatment equipment
• Pumps and related plumbing components
• Commercial water treatment systems
• Medical and healthcare water systems

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing associated with water treatment systems
• Assist with installation and startup of RO, DI, softener, carbon, and filtration systems
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and service
• Replace filters, membranes, DI tanks, carbon tanks, and other system components
• Install and modify PVC, CPVC, PEX, copper, and other applicable piping
• Connect equipment to existing water lines and drainage systems
• Troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, flow problems, and equipment failures
• Read and follow system specifications, drawings, and installation instructions
• Perform service calls at commercial and residential customer locations
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings to management
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable plumbing codes
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Travel to customer locations as needed

Qualifications

Journeyman

• Current Journeyman Plumber license preferred
• Plumbing installation and service experience
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and applicable codes
• Ability to troubleshoot plumbing and mechanical issues independently
• Experience with commercial plumbing is a plus
• Water treatment experience is a plus but not required

Apprentice

• Plumbing apprentice experience
• Willingness to learn water treatment systems and commercial plumbing
• Basic understanding of plumbing tools and equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems
• Reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Required Skills

• Ability to use common plumbing and hand tools
• Ability to read basic plumbing diagrams and equipment specifications
• Ability to lift and move equipment and materials
• Ability to work in mechanical rooms, utility areas, and customer facilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
