Plumbing Service Technician – $30–$40/hr + Performance Bonuses

Description
We are looking for a dependable, skilled plumber who can perform water heater installations, service calls, repairs, and troubleshooting with limited supervision.
This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, wants consistent work, and is interested in growing with a local plumbing and heating company.
Compensation
- $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skill
- Approximately 30–40 hours per week
- W-2 payroll position
- Performance and production bonus opportunities

- Initial paid evaluation/probationary period
You may be responsible for:
- Gas and electric water heater installation and replacement
- Water heater troubleshooting and repair
- Expansion tank installation
- Plumbing service and repair calls
- Faucet and fixture repair/replacement
- Shower valve and cartridge replacement
- Leak diagnosis and repair
- Copper, PEX, CPVC and other common piping repairs
- Soldering and/or ProPress connections
- Drain and water-line troubleshooting
- Basic boiler and hydronic heating troubleshooting, if experienced
- Circulating pump replacement and troubleshooting
- Diagnosing low water pressure and hot-water issues
- Identifying additional plumbing problems while on-site
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least 3 years of hands-on professional plumbing experience
- Has strong water heater installation experience
- Can troubleshoot plumbing problems instead of only replacing parts
- Can complete common plumbing repairs independently
- Understands proper plumbing installation and safety procedures
- Can solder copper
- Has experience with ProPress or is comfortable using it
- Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Is dependable and shows up when scheduled
- Communicates professionally with customers, tenants, and property managers
- Keeps the work area clean
- Takes pride in doing the job correctly the first time
- Can use a smartphone to receive jobs, upload photos, communicate with the office, and complete service notes
Living in Washington, DC or within a reasonable commuting distance of DC is preferred.

Every technician is expected to properly document their work.
Before closing a job, technicians will normally be required to provide:
- Before photos
- After photos
- Diagnosis/findings
- Description of work performed
- Materials/parts used
- Equipment model and serial number when applicable
- Recommendations for additional work when necessary
