Part-Time Studio Assistant – Tackhouse Pottery

Tackhouse Pottery is looking for a dependable, hard-working Studio Assistant to join our team for approximately 10–12 hours per week, typically spread over three days (with some flexibility).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a pottery studio and wants to be part of a creative, supportive community.

Responsibilities include:

● General studio cleaning and organization

● Kiln loading and unloading

● Mixing glazes

● Clay management and reclaim

● Keeping work areas stocked and organized

● Assisting with general pottery studio operations

● Other studio-related tasks as needed

We’re looking for someone who is:

● Honest, dependable, and self-motivated

● Hard-working and detail-oriented

● Familiar with pottery studio practices (preferred)

● Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

● Passionate about ceramics and helping maintain a welcoming studio environment

What we offer:

In addition to hourly pay, this position includes a Tackhouse Pottery Studio Membership, giving you access to the studio, pottery wheels, and kiln use (within studio guidelines). It’s a great opportunity to grow your own pottery skills while helping support a thriving ceramics community.
