PRIVATE RESIDENCE PROPERTY CARETAKER / HANDYMAN CONTRACTOR
We are seeking a highly dependable, experienced, and professional individual to provide ongoing property-maintenance services for a private residence in Washington State.
This is a long-term independent service arrangement for someone who is genuinely capable, resourceful, mechanically inclined, and comfortable handling a broad range of property-care responsibilities.
We are not looking for a day laborer. We are looking for a mature, polished, trustworthy person who takes pride in maintaining a beautiful property to a very high standard.
COMPENSATION
$3,500 per month
SCHEDULE
Services are generally required Monday through Friday, approximately 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
THE IDEAL PERSON
You are the type of person who notices what needs attention without having to be told repeatedly.
You understand how to care for a private residence, keep exterior areas immaculate, perform minor repairs correctly, maintain gardens and grounds, organize projects, and communicate professionally.
You should be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of routine property-care needs.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- General handyman work and minor repairs
- Gardening and landscaping
- Trimming, planting, watering, and grounds maintenance
- Maintaining patios, walkways, exterior areas, and outdoor spaces
- Light painting and touch-up work
- Minor wall patching and cosmetic repairs
- Furniture assembly and installation
- Replacing hardware, fixtures, and household items
- Pressure washing
- Garage and storage organization
- Routine preventative maintenance
- Basic troubleshooting of household maintenance issues
- Picking up materials, supplies, and equipment
- Occasional property-related errands
- Assisting with deliveries and contractor access
- Coordinating with specialty trades when required
- Keeping work areas exceptionally clean and organized
- Identifying maintenance issues before they become larger problems
- Assisting with miscellaneous property projects as needed
- Several years of professional handyman, maintenance, landscaping, construction, estate-care, or related experience
- Strong practical knowledge of general property maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Own appropriate tools for routine maintenance work
- Clean, neat, and professional appearance
- Excellent personal hygiene
- Dependable and punctual
- Honest, discreet, and trustworthy
- Respectful of privacy and private property
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Organized and detail oriented
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
- Able to perform normal physical property-maintenance work
- Non-smoking while on the property
- Washington business license / UBI preferred
- Contractor registration where applicable
- Professional references strongly preferred
