Production Associate for Sculpture Design Studio
We are a nationally recognized design studio with blue-chip clients located across the globe. We specialize in creating high-end custom awards. Our design studio is a dynamic, creative, and flexible work environment located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills in Placerville, CA. We are looking for a talented, flexible, reliable, and conscientious candidate to help with our shipping and assembly operations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble awards, which are often made from fragile, delicate materials.
- Use a drill press to drill bases made from a variety of materials, including marble, wood, concrete, and other different materials to prepare them for award mounting.
- Package and prepare awards for shipment.
- Maintain inventory of various items (boxes, shipping supplies, marble, etc.).
- Receive incoming shipments: unpack, confirm quality and quantity, and route appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment; help clean and maintain overall facility.
- Clean shipping and assembly area daily.
- Break down boxes and handle recycling material.
- Miscellaneous errands as required.
- Dependable and reliable.
- Extremely quality conscious; excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated - able to work independently, with little supervision.
- Excellent organization, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Team player with a positive, “can do” attitude.
- Excellent hand eye coordination and vision.
- Experience with (ideally), or willingness to learn, small equipment operation, including a drill press and sandblaster.
- Ability to lift, lower, and slide objects up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient with both Mac and Windows computing environments.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office Suite. Willingness and aptitude to learn other productivity software applications.
The position offers a base pay of $22/hour. After a three-month probationary period, employees will be eligible for paid vacation (PTO) and participation in the company’s profit-sharing program.
Work Schedule
9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday for the first three-month training period. Following that, 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Thursday. Work on Fridays will be required at times, although not the norm.
