Description

Kentucky Mirror + Plate Glass is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our team as a Project & Field Operations Assistant.

This is not a typical desk job. The position is a mix of office work, warehouse support, and time in the field helping keep our shower glass and glazing projects organized and moving forward.
No glass or construction experience is required. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, comfortable working with their hands, organized, dependable, and ready to take on a variety of responsibilities throughout the day.

What You'll Do

  • Enter customer and project orders
  • Print and organize blueprints, drawings, and job information
  • Review job paperwork and help prepare projects for the field
  • Pull shower door and glass hardware for upcoming jobs
  • Organize and stage materials for projects
  • Receive, move, and organize inventory and help maintain accurate inventory counts
  • Assist with loading and preparing materials for jobs
  • Travel to residential and commercial job sites
  • Assist with field measurements for shower glass and other projects
  • Learn how to properly measure openings and record dimensions
  • Help verify job-site conditions before glass is ordered
  • Assist installers and other team members as needed
  • Keep the shop, warehouse, and project areas organized
  • Help solve everyday issues that come up while getting jobs completed

  • Willing to learn how to read blueprints and project drawings
  • Comfortable working with hand and power tools
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable switching between office, warehouse, and field work
  • Comfortable visiting active construction and residential job sites
  • Able to safely lift, carry, and move job materials and hardware
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Takes pride in doing things correctly
