Project Lead – Metal Fabrication & Installation

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to join our team. This position is intended for a highly skilled, journeyman-level craftsperson with a minimum of 10 years of experience in welding, fabrication, and both commercial and residential construction.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with:

-Structural steel
-Architectural metals
-Miscellaneous metals
-Custom fabrication

The Project Lead must be capable of leading projects from shop fabrication through field installation while coordinating with:

-Project managers
-General contractors
-Architects
-Engineers
-Homeowners
-Other trades

This individual must possess a thorough understanding of:

-Blueprint reading
-Shop drawings
-Fabrication layouts
-Field measurements
-Welding procedures
-Installation techniques

The candidate should also have a solid working knowledge of commercial and residential construction, including:

-Concrete work
-Framing
-Finish carpentry
-Drywall
-Glazing
-Waterproofing
-Architectural finishes

The Project Lead must clearly understand how these building systems integrate to produce a high-quality finished project.

Required Qualifications:

-Minimum of 10 years of journeyman-level welding and metal fabrication experience.
-Proven experience leading crews and managing projects from fabrication through installation.
-Expert ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and shop drawings.
-Strong knowledge of structural steel, architectural metals, miscellaneous metals, and custom fabrication.
-Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
-Clean driving record.
