Description

Project Manager – Government Funded Contracts

Location: Oklahoma, Texas, and Washington
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: commensurate with experience. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing government-funded contracts to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of federally, state, and/or locally funded projects, ensuring compliance, on-time delivery, and successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and close projects funded by government agencies (federal, state, and local)
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk in accordance with contract requirements
Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations (FAR, DFARS, 2 CFR 200, grant terms, etc.)
Coordinate with contracting officers, program managers, and subcontractors.
Prepare and submit required reports, invoices, progress updates, and deliverables on time
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
Support proposal development and capture efforts for new government opportunities
Maintain accurate project documentation and audit-ready records
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing government-funded contracts or grants
Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and government contracting processes
Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar projects with strict compliance requirements
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Asana, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
PMP certification strongly preferred; CAPM or other relevant credentials a plus
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required depending on contract requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DoD and GSA contracting.
Background in construction; concrete, finishes, metal framing,
Familiarity with grant management systems and electronic invoicing platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, Grants.gov, Procore)
