Description

Kentucky Mirror + Plate Glass is looking for an experienced, motivated Project Manager to oversee commercial glass and glazing projects throughout Kentucky. This position is responsible for managing projects from bid through completion and coordinating with customers, contractors, vendors, field personnel, and our internal team.

Previous project management experience is required. Glass and glazing experience is preferred.

Established in 1905, Kentucky Mirror + Plate Glass is a family-owned glass and glazing contractor with locations in Louisville, Bowling Green, and Owensboro. Our commercial work includes storefronts, entrances, curtain wall systems, commercial windows, doors and frames, architectural glass, specialty glazing, and other commercial glass applications.

What You'll Do

  • Manage commercial glass and glazing projects from award through completion
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, blueprints, shop drawings, and scope of work
  • Coordinate schedules with general contractors, customers, vendors, and field personnel
  • Manage material ordering, fabrication requirements, deliveries, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
  • Track project costs, budgets, schedules, change orders, and job progress
  • Identify and resolve project issues and coordinate with field supervisors and installers
  • Attend project and job-site meetings as needed
  • Communicate professionally with contractors, architects, customers, vendors, and team members
  • Travel to project locations throughout Kentucky as required
What We're Looking For
  • Commercial construction or related trade experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong organization, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, budgets, costs, and change orders
  • Comfortable using computers and project management software
  • Able to work independently, make decisions, and take ownership of projects
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Kentucky
