Project Manager - Residential Drywall Installation
Description
Tidewater Interior Wall and Ceiling, Inc. is in search of a dependable, knowledgeable, and self-starting Project Manager with knowledge and experience managing new construction residential drywall installation crews. This Project Manager will be a key team member and the company’s representative at project sites. The Project Manager will be responsible for daily coordination and direction of in-house and sub-contractor drywall installation crews.
The key responsibilities of the Project Manager are:
- Managing day-to-day operations across multiple job sites;
- Supervising subcontractor crews performing drywall installation in residential new construction buildings;
- Coordinating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors;
- Communicating with Builder representatives as necessary;
- Ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to deadlines;
- Daily updating of job statuses;
- Ensuring production meets company quality specifications and finish standards;
- Monitoring and adjusting work processes/procedures to meet production schedules and targets as necessary;
- Maintaining accurate time and production records;
- Ensuring adherence to our high standards of professionalism, safety, and client satisfaction;
- Inspecting units in the field and at customer sites;
- Possess 4-5 years of experience in drywall installation and managing interior construction crews;
- Have strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills;
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record;
- Be proficient in documentation and have good computer skills;
- Have the ability to read and interpret safety documents, spec sheets, and maintenance procedure directives;
- Possess the ability to write reports and communicate effectively with company staff, sub-contractor crews, and Builder representatives;
- Be adept at solving operational problems and managing workflow;
- Have strong time management and planning skills;
- Have a good knowledge of environmental and OSHA safety standards relating to drywall installation, and construction in general;
- Perform remedial training on relevant equipment, processes, and safety procedures when needed;
- OSHA certification or equivalent Safety Training;
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus;
The negotiable salary for this position will be based on knowledge and experience.
