Position Summary
The Project Plumber is a senior-level commercial plumber responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems on commercial projects. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to read plans and specs, and the experience to work independently while supporting jobsite productivity, safety, and quality. The ideal candide has a proven background in commercial construction and can help drive projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems (domestic wer, sanitary, vent, storm, and gas piping as applicable).
Read and interpret blueprints, specificions, and shop drawings to complete work accurely.
Lay out, assemble, and install piping, valves, fixtures, and equipment using proper methods and tools.
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to resolve jobsite or system issues.
Coordine with supervisors, project teams, and other trades to avoid conflicts and maintain schedule.
Complete testing (pressure/leak tests), support inspections, and ensure code compliance.
Identify merial needs and communice jobsite requirements to leadership in advance.
Maintain accure documention of work performed, merials used, and any field changes.
Mentor apprentices/helpers and promote best practices and craftsmanship on the jobsite.
Follow all safety policies and procedures; maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualificions
6+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, installion standards, and applicable plumbing codes.
Ability to read blueprints and work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with common pipe merials (copper, PVC/CPVC, cast iron, steel, PEX) and installion methods.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a quality-first mindset.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportion.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
Journeyman license or equivalent certificion
OSHA 10/30
Backflow certificion
Medical gas experience
