We are a small business specializing in electromechanical assemblies for automotive racing applications.

Job Overview

We are seeking a self-starter with a mechanical mindset for low volume assembly and prototype work. This position works closely with assembly and engineering and would be expected to have a good working analytical mindset for understanding, then troubleshooting different mechanical issues.

The ideal candidate would be able to work closely with manufacturing and engineering during the assembly process to ensure quality standards and/or collaborate towards continual empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial tools
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and production documents to accurately follow assembly instructions
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards
  • Perform soldering tasks when necessary for component integration
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with production personnel, supervisors, and engineers, to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and meet production deadlines
  • Work Independently while maintaining productivity, quality, and attention to detail
Requirements
  • Proven experience with mechanical assembly, some blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings or schematics
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial tools
  • Ability to learn ERP software to maintain inventory levels accurately
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including understanding of quality control procedures and safety protocols
  • Experience with soldering, machining, or working with electrical components is a plus
  • Ability to manually handle parts safely while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
