Experience with:
•Identifying construction defects •Correcting minor trade issues •Reading punch lists •Working with superintendent comments
Touch-Up Painting
Must know: •Matching existing paint colors •Cutting clean lines •Rolling and brushing •Repairing damaged walls before painting •Spraying small areas if needed
Drywall Repairs
Should be able to: • Patch holes •Repair corners •Fix dents and damage • Apply joint compound •Sand smooth • Texture matching
Silicone/Caulking Repairs
Must know: •Bathroom/kitchen silicone •Expansion joints •Countertops •Windows •Baseboards •Wet areas
Door Hardware Adjustments
Should be able to: • Adjust doors •Replace hinges •Adjust closers •Install locks/handles •Correct alignment problems
Basic Carpentry
Helpful skills: •Baseboards •Trim •Cabinet adjustments •Blocking •Minor framing repairs
Requirements:
5+ years construction experience, someone who has worked on: Apartments, Hotels, Healthcare, Schools, Office buildings
Experienced: $28-$35/hour
Highly skilled $40+ per hour
