Residential Carpenter (Property Restoration)

Our family-owned, property restoration company is growing its clientele, and we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpenter to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in residential carpentry, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. Carpenter Job Duties:

• Installs walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs
• Minor drywall repairs and painting
• Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim
• Minor siding and roofing repairs
• Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, trim work, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
• Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.
• Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
• Cleans up worksite debris.

Experience & Skills

• High school diploma is an asset
• 2 years of experience in residential carpentry
• Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
• Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety
• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
