Residential Construction Project Manager

Dream Design Build & Remodeling is looking for an experienced residential construction professional to help manage additions, whole-home renovations, kitchens, bathrooms and porches throughout the Baltimore/Howard/Anne Arundel area.
This is not an entry-level project management position.

We’re looking for someone who understands residential construction from the ground up—someone who can walk onto a project, understand what has been completed, recognize what is wrong, know what needs to happen next and keep the project moving.
The right person may currently be a Project Manager, Superintendent, Lead Carpenter or Construction Manager.

You should be comfortable with:

• Residential construction sequencing from excavation through final completion
• Reading plans and identifying field conflicts
• Framing and general building practices
• Coordinating electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other subcontractors
• Performing accurate material takeoffs
• Ordering and coordinating materials and deliveries
• Inspecting workmanship and holding crews to a high standard
• Creating and maintaining project schedules
• Anticipating problems before they delay a project
• Managing multiple active projects
• Communicating professionally with homeowners, subcontractors and our office

We are not looking for someone whose construction experience is primarily administrative. Actual field knowledge is important to this position.

You’ll have significant responsibility for how projects are executed and will work directly with company leadership to improve scheduling, quality control, subcontractor coordination and our overall production system.

We value practical construction knowledge, accountability and good judgment more than corporate titles.

Experience-

Strong residential construction experience is required.
Experience managing additions, major renovations, kitchens, bathrooms or custom homes is strongly preferred.
Former Lead Carpenters and Superintendents who are ready to move into a management role are encouraged to apply.
