Pay: $40–$45 per hour

POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee remodeling projects sold by our sales advisors. The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating each project from start to finish. You will coordinate subcontractors and company employees, arrange materials, communicate with customers, maintain project schedules, and ensure that every job meets Mr. Contractor’s standards. The ideal candidate understands residential remodeling, can anticipate problems before they cause delays, and is comfortable working in both newer construction and Philadelphia’s older homes.
RESPONSIBILITIES (may include):
- Review project scopes, contracts, plans, and specifications before work begins
- Coordinate project start dates with customers, sales advisors, workers, and subcontractors
- Manage subcontractors and company employees assigned to each project
- Schedule trades and ensure that work progresses in the correct order
- Confirm that materials are ordered and delivered to the jobsite when needed
- Monitor workmanship and ensure that projects meet company quality standards
- Maintain project schedules and address delays promptly
- Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact during construction
- Respond professionally and promptly to customer questions and concerns
- Provide customers with regular progress updates
- Identify work that falls outside the original project scope
- Notify the sales advisor when a change order may be required
- Ensure that change-order work is authorized before proceeding
- Keep jobsites clean, safe, and organized
- Protect customers’ homes and property throughout construction
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and inspections
- Track project progress and maintain accurate records
- Complete final walkthroughs and coordinate outstanding items
- Facilitate each project from initial preparation through final completion
- Residential remodeling or construction-management experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project sequencing
- Experience managing subcontractors, tradespeople, and company employees
- Ability to read and understand project scopes, contracts, plans, and specifications
- Strong scheduling, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to manage several active projects at the same time
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable navigating and working throughout Philadelphia
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to use a smartphone, email, photographs, and project-management tools for job documentation
- $40–$45 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and employment arrangement
