The Role:

We are looking for a multi-site Maintenance Technician (I, II, or III) with at least 3 years of experience. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance repairs, performing preventative maintenance throughout the property, curb appeal projects, and make ready of units while delivering exceptional customer service to residents, homeowners, and property management clients. Strong plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair skills is a plus! Bilingual not required but is a plus!

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing maintenance work orders of occupied and vacant apartment units.
  • Diagnosing and making repairs, appliance installation/repair, light plumbing, light electrical, some carpentry, flooring Repairs (carpet/tile), dry wall, pools/equipment, and painting.
  • Responsible for completing work orders on a daily basis.
  • Daily preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect property grounds and property equipment daily (i.e. pool area/equipment, laundry rooms, playground areas) for safety and cleanliness.
  • Must be willing to use personal vehicle to travel for business purposes. Travel may include, but not limited to: travel for other property needs, off-site training, purchasing products or mandatory off-site meetings. (Auto and Phone Monthly Allowance Offered)
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have basic tools and basic tools experience
  • Possess Valid Driver's License and Liability Car Insurance.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Minimum of 3 years of residential property maintenance.
  • Preferred computer knowledge and be able to type using: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, and Gmail) and be able to use a Smart Phone.
Phyisical Demands:
  • Standing and walking intermittently for periods of 2-8 hrs. per day.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, hearing and talking and fine manipulation of fingers.
  • Must have the ability to judge spatial distances (near and far) identify and distinguish color. As well as detect different odors i.e. gas smells
  • Able to lift, pull, push or carry up to 50 lbs. Or up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to use maintenance equipment (hand tools/power tools).
  • Moving equipment such as stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, etc. (with assistance and dollies).
Important Notes
Position Details: This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position (40+ hours/week). 8:30am-5pm pst, Monday-Friday. This position is hybrid in-office and remote/field service.

Pay: The range of pay for this California-based position is $22.00-$32.00 per hour. This position is eligible for a performance bonus along with a tenure and training rate increase incentive plan.
