Description

Clean Work Contracting is looking for a reliable residential remodeling worker with some real hands-on experience.

We do residential work in and around Pittsburgh, with a focus on painting, flooring, finishing, punch list work, and small to medium remodel projects. We are looking for someone who is past the basic labor-only stage and can contribute on jobsites with a mix of skill, judgment, and professionalism.

This is a good fit for someone who takes pride in clean work, can follow directions, notices details, and is comfortable working in clients’ homes. You do not need to know everything, but you do need to be dependable, willing to learn, and able to handle basic jobsite responsibilities without constant supervision.

Starting pay is $20/hour. Once we can see your actual skill level, reliability, and ability to work independently, we can discuss future pay. Access to 401k and health care is available after the intro period, depending on role and eligibility.

Good fit if you can:

Show up on time and ready to work

Follow written and verbal directions
Work cleanly in finished residential homes
Paint, prep, patch, sand, caulk, mask, protect floors, and clean up properly
Help with flooring, trim, demo, punch list, and general remodeling tasks
Work alone when needed and communicate if something is unclear
Work with a crew in a professional way
Speak up when something is wrong, missing, unsafe, or needs clarification
Treat clients, homes, tools, and coworkers with respect
Pay attention to small details

Helpful skills:

Exterior painting
Drywall patching and prep
Flooring installation or flooring prep
Trim and finish work
Basic carpentry
Light demo

Ability to read a simple scope or task list

You do not need to be a master carpenter, but you do need to have some usable residential construction experience and good judgment.

Requirements:

Reliable transportation

Phone access
Ability to communicate during the workday
Professional appearance and behavior in clients’ homes
Ability to lift materials, work on ladders when appropriate, and handle normal remodeling tasks
Willingness to work cleanly and safely
Dependability and clear communication
