Restoration Specialist/General Labor

On Demand Staffing is seeking a dedicated Restoration Specialist to join our Jacksonville team. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to restoration needs, including water, fire, flood, and mold remediation, ensuring the swift and effective recovery of properties. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience and/or a background in the restoration industry, construction experience, and a commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for water, fire, flood, and mold damage restoration projects.
• Perform cleaning, debris removal, and surface preparation using hand tools and power tools.
• Execute fire and smoke damage cleanup, including soot removal and odor control.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as respiratory protection, during hazardous tasks.
• Follow established safety protocols during all phases of restoration work.
• Perform carpet cleaning and other finishing tasks to restore properties to pre-loss condition.

Skills

• Experience in the restoration industry, with knowledge of water damage, fire restoration, flood recovery, and mold remediation techniques preferred, but NOT required.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, including PPE use and respiratory protection.
• Construction experience is highly desirable for structural assessments and repairs.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines and in emergency situations.

Schedule: 1st shift

Pay: $17
Total weekly hours: 24+
Term: Temp-to-Perm
Days: Monday–Friday

Must have reliable transportation to travel between jobs.

Previous construction cleanup and/or restoration experience preferred.
The ideal candidate must look presentable and well-groomed.
