Position: RhinoFAB CNC Programmer / Operator – Architectural Glazing

We are seeking an experienced RhinoFAB CNC Glazing Machine Programmer / Operator to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating RhinoFAB CNC equipment used in the fabrication of aluminum storefront, curtain wall, entrances, doors, and other architectural glazing systems.

The ideal candidate understands both CNC programming and commercial glazing fabrication and can take information from architectural drawings, shop drawings, field measurements, cut lists, and fabrication drawings and turn it into accurate, production-ready CNC programs.

Responsibilities

Program and operate RhinoFAB CNC fabrication equipment for architectural aluminum systems.
Create and modify CNC programs for drilling, routing, milling, notching, countersinking, slotting, and other fabrication operations.
Review architectural drawings, approved shop drawings, fabrication drawings, field dimensions, and cut lists prior to production.
Travel to jobsites to field measure storefront and curtain wall openings.
Accurately measure rough openings, slab conditions, elevations, jambs, heads, sills, embeds, and surrounding construction before fabrication.
Verify jobsite dimensions against architectural and shop drawings and identify discrepancies before material is released for fabrication.
Document field conditions clearly and communicate required changes to project managers, detailers, and fabrication personnel.
Determine proper machining locations, dimensions, tooling, and fabrication sequences.
Program aluminum framing components for:
Storefront systems
Curtain wall systems
Aluminum entrances and doors
Window systems
Interior glazing systems
Custom architectural aluminum assemblies
Verify extrusion profiles, dimensions, offsets, machining locations, and hardware preparations before releasing material to production.
Coordinate CNC programming with saw operators, fabrication personnel, project managers, and shop supervisors.
Perform first-piece inspections and verify fabricated parts against approved drawings.
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, machine, and fabrication issues.
Make program adjustments to improve accuracy and production efficiency.
Maintain organized CNC program files and project fabrication information.
Minimize material waste and identify potential fabrication conflicts before material is machined.
Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, calibration, and routine maintenance.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow company quality-control and safety procedures.
Qualifications

Experience programming or operating RhinoFAB CNC equipment strongly preferred.
Experience with CNC machining or fabrication of architectural aluminum.
Commercial glass and glazing experience preferred.
Ability to independently field measure storefront and curtain wall systems at active jobsites.
Ability to accurately transfer field measurements into shop drawings, fabrication dimensions, cut lists, and CNC programming.

Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, offsets, and fabrication sequencing.
Strong understanding of storefront and curtain wall installation conditions.
Ability to identify out-of-square, out-of-plumb, and out-of-level jobsite conditions and account for those conditions during fabrication.
Familiarity with aluminum storefront, curtain wall, and entrance systems.
Experience with manufacturers such as Kawneer, Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, YKK AP, Tubelite, EFCO, Arcadia, or similar systems is a plus.
Ability to identify aluminum extrusion profiles and understand how components assemble in the field.
Experience with AutoCAD, CAD/CAM software, or CNC programming software is a plus.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new fabrication software.
Ability to use tape measures, laser measuring devices, levels, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to identify problems before material reaches production.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with the fabrication, field, and project-management teams.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local jobsites as required.
