Roofer/Roof Repair Specialist

SUMMARY: The Roofer supports roofing installation and repair projects by performing a variety of labor and skilled tasks on residential and commercial job sites. This position is responsible for helping complete roofing work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. Most of our work is residential roofing installation, reroofing, waterproofing, and roof repairs, using tiles, composition shingles, asphalt shingles, standing seam metal, and TPO.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with roof tear-offs, material handling, and cleanup.
• Install roofing materials under the direction of the foreman or journeyman.
• Carry and stage materials on jobsites.
• Measure, cut, and prepare roofing materials as instructed.
• Help install shingles, underlayment, flashing, vents, and related components.
• Remove debris and maintain a safe, orderly work area.
• Follow all jobsite safety rules and fall protection requirements.
• Use tools and equipment properly and safely.
• Communicate hazards, damage, or jobsite concerns to supervision.
• Support team members to complete projects on time.
• Report to Superintendents and Operations Manager.
• Perform other roofing-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 3+ years of roofing and roof repair experience.
• Previous roofing or construction experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and learn roofing techniques.
• Ability to work safely on ladders and rooftops.
• Strong work ethic and dependability.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, carrying, climbing, standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Must be able to wear required PPE and comply with fall-protection requirements.
• Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to heights and construction environments.
