### S&G Roofing Inc. – Schenectady, NY

**Join one of the Capital Region's leading roofing companies.**

S&G Roofing is looking for a dependable, customer-focused **Roofing Field Supervisor** to oversee residential roofing projects throughout the Capital Region.

This is **not** a position where you'll be installing roofs all day. Your primary responsibility is making sure every roofing project runs smoothly, safely, professionally, and that every customer has an outstanding experience.

If you're organized, enjoy solving problems, communicate well with homeowners, and aren't afraid of long days during the busy season, we'd love to talk with you.

### What You'll Do

  • Arrive at our Schenectady office around 6:00 AM each morning.

  • Meet with our subcontractor roofing crews and review the day's project.
  • Introduce yourself to the homeowner and be their main point of contact throughout the day.
  • Inspect the property and document existing conditions with photographs before work begins.
  • Ensure proper protection is in place for landscaping, siding, windows, decks, driveways, pools, air conditioners, and other property.
  • Monitor the roofing crew throughout the day to ensure quality workmanship and company standards are being followed.
  • Communicate with homeowners and answer questions professionally.
  • Identify unforeseen conditions such as damaged plywood, rotten decking, rafters, or other issues, and coordinate with our sales team for customer approval.
  • Keep detailed notes and photographs using our Field CRM app.
  • Perform final quality inspections after completion.
  • Ensure gutters are cleaned, nails are removed, and the property is left cleaner than we found it.
  • Collect payments when required.
  • Return to the office, unload unused materials, complete daily supervisor reports, prepare for the following day's jobs, and coordinate with our Production Manager.
### What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Professional and customer-oriented
  • Honest and dependable
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to lead subcontractor crews professionally
  • Comfortable communicating with homeowners throughout the day
  • Able to think independently and solve problems
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift roofing materials when necessary
  • Willing to work long hours during peak roofing season
### Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to tow a 14-foot trailer behind a pickup truck
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic smartphone and app experience
  • Roofing or construction experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual
### Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • Saturdays as needed due to weather or workload
  • Busy season averages **50-70 hours per week**
  • Early mornings are required, with some days extending into the evening until projects are completed.
