Roofing Repair Technician — Tarrytown Roofing (Austin, TX)
Mid to Senior Level | Full-Time or Part-Time | 1099 Contact-or or W-2 Employee (NOT a sub) | Hiring Immediately
Tarrytown Roofing is hiring our first dedicated Repair Production Technician — a craftsman who takes pride in solving the roof problems other guys can’t. This is a foundational hire with serious long-term upside as we scale our repair division.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be our go-to repair expert across Austin and the surrounding areas, handling:
- Composition shingle repairs — tear-outs, tie-ins, matching, and clean finishes
- Flashing work into sidewalls, chimneys, and penetrations — step flashing, counter flashing, kick-outs done right the first time
- TPO repairs and patches — welds, seams, terminations on low-slope and flat sections
- Metal roofing systems — standing seam repairs, exposed fastener systems, panel replacements, trim, and detail work
- Diagnosing leaks, documenting findings, and producing repairs that hold up and look clean
- Real experience — mid to senior level, comfortable working independently on any of the systems above
- Your own reliable truck (we’ll be adding a company Sprinter Grand to the fleet soon, and we’ll help with gas in the meantime)
- Standard repair tools and basic safety equipment
- Dedicated to Tarrytown Roofing only — this is a W-2 employee role, NOT a subcontractor position. We want someone all-in with our team.
- Clean appearance, professional with homeowners, and able to communicate clearly
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Hourly pay or day rate based on experience, with performance bonuses tied to margin and quality of work sold — top performers earn significantly more
- Company Sprinter Grand van coming soon for the right person
- Gas assistance while you’re using your own truck
- Steady, year-round work — we have more repair demand than we can currently service
- Long-term growth opportunity — this is our first major repair hire, and the right person will help us build and eventually lead a full repair division
