Description
L&J Construction Services, LLC is looking to add several experienced roofing subcontractor crews for consistent, high-volume residential roofing work throughout Northwest Indiana, Chicagoland and the surrounding suburbs.
We are expanding our roofing operations and building relationships with multiple roofing contractors and general contractors throughout the area, in addition to completing our own L&J projects.
Our goal is to build long-term relationships with dependable crews and keep our best crews busy year-round.
During the busy season, we are looking for crews capable of handling a consistent schedule, potentially up to one roof per day per crew depending on job size, location, weather and workload. We also intend to continue providing work throughout the winter whenever conditions and project availability allow.
Local crews are preferred, especially crews that can work directly with us on a consistent basis throughout the year.
Traveling crews are also welcome, but we are primarily interested in traveling crews that are willing and able to stay in the Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland area for extended periods during the busy season and be consistently available for our projects.
We are not looking for crews interested in picking up one job here and there. We want to build a strong network of roofing crews that we can develop long-term working relationships with.
REQUIREMENTS
Crews should have:
- Experienced lead foreman
- Reliable crew with adequate manpower
- Own trucks, trailers, tools and equipment
- Experience with tear-offs and complete shingle installations
- Ability to handle steep and cut-up roofs
- Professional workmanship
- Reliable communication
- Clean jobsites and proper property protection
- Consistent production
- W-9
- General liability insurance / current COI
- Workers’ compensation coverage or applicable documentation
- Ability to sign L&J’s subcontractor agreement
- Ability to sign L&J’s OSHA/safety agreement
We are also looking for an experienced roofing repair technician or small repair crew for Northwest Indiana and the south/southwest Chicago suburbs.
This would include smaller service work such as:
- Roof leak diagnosis and repairs
- Flashing repairs
- Pipe boots
- Roof vents
- Missing/damaged shingles
- Small roofing sections
- Emergency repairs
- Other residential roofing service calls
