Safety Assistant @ Stone Roofing Co.

Stone Roofing Company, a commercial/industrial roofing contractor, is seeking a motivated individual to fulfill the role of a Project/Safety Assistant. This is an opportunity to learn and grow in the Roofing trade and gain safety experience. We will also provide training as needed. This position will work directly with, and report to the Safety Manager.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

• Working as a liaison with the jobsite Foreman to ensure the job safety is maintained
• Ensure safe practices are being followed with the Safety Manager’s guidance
• Fill out electronic reports/checklists as directed by the Safety Manager
• Assist workers with any safety related issues/concerns
• Travel to multiple job sites in one day; take supplies to various job sites
• Report to the Safety Manager any concerns or observed safety issues
• Ability to take photographs

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Clean DMV driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus.
• OSHA 10 or other applicable certifications is a plus but not required.
• Familiarization with electronics (tablet, cell phone, computer).
• Proficient in computers and knowledge with Microsoft office, Excel, and outlook.

Physical demands for the job:

• Able to climb a ladder, stairs, and be on top of a roof.
• Carry/lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work outdoors.
• Driving to and from various job sites.
• Able to work in an office environment.

Pay Rate- $20.00-$25.00 (Determined on Experience)
