Safety Specialist (EHS) | Short-Term Project Assignment (3 Openings)

Location: Warsaw, Indiana

Duration: 3+ Month Project Assignment
Pay: $55/hour (All-In)
Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per day, primarily days with some nights and weekends as needed
Travel: Fully Covered
Housing: Company-Provided
Per Diem: $50/day (7 days per week)

Project Opportunity Overview

We are hiring three Safety Specialists for a three-month onsite project assignment in Warsaw, Indiana.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals open to short-term project work with full travel support, including company-paid accommodations and daily per diem.

You will be part of a collaborative safety team, where each member contributes expertise in specific safety disciplines to create a well-rounded EHS presence onsite.

Note: Due to the project location, team members typically drive to the site and utilize their own vehicle during the assignment.

What You’ll Do

Support and execute site-wide EHS programs

Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Investigate incidents and lead root cause analyses
Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding
Oversee contractor safety compliance and JHA/AHA review
Support construction, installation, and commissioning activities
Ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance
Maintain documentation, reporting, and KPI tracking
Specialized Experience (One or More Preferred)

Construction Safety (OSHA 1926, cranes, scaffolding, trenching)
Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E, Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout)
Automation and Machine Safety (robotics, ISO standards, guarding)
Industrial or Manufacturing Safety
Environmental Health and Safety compliance
Ergonomics or Human Factors
Battery or Energy Storage Safety
Qualifications

3 to 5+ years of EHS or safety experience
Strong OSHA knowledge and practical application
Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or automation environments
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-based environment
Preferred Certifications

OSHA 30, ASP, CHST, OHST, NFPA 70E, CMSE, or similar credentials
