ViaSat - DirecTV - Hughes Net Experience Preferred

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of satellite internet systems. This role requires an understanding of computers, field service operations, and hands-on technical skills to ensure seamless connectivity for our clients.

Requirements

• Daily use of dependable vehicle to haul a 24' ladder, equipment and tools
• Tools & Installation Materials
• Valid / Active Driver's License
• Must pass BG & Drug Screening
• Smart Phone
• Must complete online training to obtain technician ID #

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active Technician certification ID #
• Install and configure telecommunications equipment, including cabling, modems/routers, and other networking devices
• Ensure proper connectivity for various telecommunication systems
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure optimal performance
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely
• Provide field service support by responding to customer inquiries and resolving technical issues on-site
• Document installation processes, service calls, and any modifications made to existing systems via smart phone app.

Skills

• Experience with telecommunication systems installation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with cabling standards and installation best practices
• Ability to effectively use hand tools and specialized equipment for installations
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service excellence
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
