SCENIC / EVENT CARPENTERS WANTED – FREELANCE CREW ROSTER – LOS ANGELES

NovaWorkz Installations is expanding our Los Angeles crew roster and looking for experienced carpenters and scenic builders for upcoming event, experiential, entertainment, and installation projects.

This is freelance / project-based work, not a full-time position. We're looking for reliable people we can call regularly as projects come in.

What We Do

Our crews work on:

Experiential activations

Live events
Scenic installations
Brand activations
Film & entertainment builds
Pop-ups and temporary structures
Load-ins / strikes
On-site fabrication and modifications

We're Looking For:

Scenic carpenters

Set builders
Finish carpenters
Fabricators
Experienced installation crew

You should be comfortable with woodworking, power tools, assembling scenic elements, reading basic plans/drawings, troubleshooting on site, and working efficiently as part of a crew.

Requirements

Professional and dependable
Own basic hand tools
Reliable transportation
Able to work throughout Los Angeles / Southern California
Comfortable with early calls, nights and occasional long production days
Able to safely lift and move scenic materials
Good communication
Works well under a crew lead
Scenic, event, experiential or entertainment-industry experience strongly preferred

Having a truck/van, advanced tools, shop experience, welding/fabrication skills, forklift/MEWP certifications, or crew-lead experience is a plus. Let us know.

Compensation

Competitive day rates based on experience and position.

We're primarily looking to build relationships with people who want ongoing freelance opportunities, not just one job.
