Seamstress / Tailor — Dry Cleaner (Kensington, MD)

Responsibilities

Perform alterations and repairs on a wide range of garments (hems, taking in/letting out, zipper replacement, button work, patching)
Fit customers and accurately measure for alterations
Handle delicate fabrics, formalwear, suits, and specialty garments with care
Estimate turnaround times and communicate clearly with the front counter
Maintain a clean, organized work station and equipment
Qualifications
Proven experience as a seamstress, tailor, or alterations specialist
Skilled with industrial sewing machines, sergers, and hand-sewing
Strong knowledge of garment construction and a variety of fabrics
Precise measuring and fitting ability
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple orders
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
