Seamstress/Tailor

Duties

Perform clothing alterations and repairs with precision, ensuring a perfect fit for each customer
Use fabric knowledge to select appropriate materials for different projects and troubleshoot fabric-specific challenges
Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions
Execute detailed stitching, seam finishing, and garment assembly following design specifications
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sewing area, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
Qualifications

Proven experience in clothing alterations, garment sewing, or fashion retail environments
Skilled in operating sewing machines, pressing machines, and press operation techniques
Strong knowledge of fabric materials, stitching methods, and garment construction processes
Ability to perform hand sewing for delicate or detailed work when necessary
Familiarity with men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring standards
Basic math skills for measurements, pattern adjustments, and fabric calculations
Excellent attention to detail with a passion for quality craftsmanship
