Description

About the company (La versión en español de este anuncio se encuentra a continuación.):

We are a boutique landscape design and construction firm specializing in high-end outdoor living spaces. The business was started in early 2024. We are a small but growing business. Our work integrates fine gardening, custom steel fabrication, and sophisticated hardscaping that incorporate elements of the property and surrounding area. We pride ourselves on precision, durability, artistic execution, and going above and beyond for our clients.

I began working in the landscape construction industry for about 5 years before transitioning to a fine-gardening company for 4 years before deciding to return to college and obtain an engineering degree. Working in the local biotechnology industry was amazing and I have no regrets. But I found that my true passion was working and building outdoors. I enjoy applying and sharing my life experiences through the landscapes and gardens we design. There’s no greater feeling than the sense of accomplishment while reflecting on and admiring a completed job. If this sounds appealing to you then I’d be very pleased to meet with you to discuss our shared future.

The services we provide include:

  • Landscape and garden design - 3 dimensional virtual renderings
  • Hardscape installation - Retaining walls, patios and pathways consisting of a variety of materials, pavers, wood gates and fences, edging etc.
  • Irrigation, low voltage lighting, water feature design, installation and maintenance
  • Custom steel fencing, gates, handrails, retaining walls and many more garden and landscape applications for steel
  • Fine garden design, installation and maintenance (excludes lawn maintenance)
  • And much more!
The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile specialist to assist in the physical realization of our projects. This role is strictly focused on installation, fabrication, and maintenance. You will translate 3D virtual renderings and design plans into tangible, high-quality landscapes.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to (Some listed skills may be acquired during on-the-job training):
  • Hardscape Construction:
  • Expert installation of retaining walls, patios, stairs, and pathways using diverse materials (natural stone, pavers, steel, etc.).
  • Ensuring structural integrity, drainage and precise leveling for all hardscape elements.
  • Custom Steel Fabrication & Installation:
  • Installation of custom steel fencing, gates, stairs, handrails and retaining wall systems.
  • Preparation of steel stock (grinding off mill scale, cutting steel per design)
  • On-site adjustments to ensure perfect fit and finish.
  • Systems Integration:
  • Complete installation and maintenance of irrigation systems (spray, drip, and smart controllers).
  • Installation of low-voltage landscape lighting systems, including fixture placement, wiring and transformers.
  • Design-assist and installation of water features (fountains, ponds, cascades), ensuring proper plumbing and electrical integration.
  • Drainage system installation and maintenance
  • Fine Gardening:
  • Installation and ongoing maintenance of fine gardens (shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, specimen trees).
  • Soil preparation, weeding, mulching, and planting techniques that ensure long-term plant health.
  • Exclusion: This role does not include routine lawn mowing or turf maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years in landscape construction, with a demonstrated portfolio showcasing motivation, passion, and quality of work. Current/new alum from programs focusing on landscaping or gardening with minimal to no work experience will be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading architectural drawings and 3D renderings. Strong understanding of drainage, grading, and structural load-bearing principles.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, operate power tools, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Mental Stamina: This can be a physically and mentally demanding job. Working together to maintain a high morale while we strive to deliver beautiful gardens for our clients will be appreciated.
  • Attention to Detail: A commitment to "fine" work where the finish quality is as important as the structural function.
