Davis & Company Construction is a growing residential & commercial construction company seeking an experienced carpenter with 2+ years of experience who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, solves problems proactively, and is committed to doing the job right. Our projects include custom carpentry, remodeling, restorations, additions, decks, porches, and new construction. Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of carpentry or construction experience.
- Accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Read, interpret, and build from construction drawings, blueprints, and project plans.
- Perform layout and framing for walls, floors, and roofs with precision.
- Install doors, windows, trim, and finish carpentry to a high standard.
- Build decks, porches, and other exterior wood structures.
- Understand and follow applicable residential building codes and construction best practices.
- Demonstrate strong mathematical skills for measurements, layout, material calculations, and problem solving.
- Safely and proficiently operate common carpentry tools and equipment, including:
- Miter saw
- Circular saw
- Table saw
- Nail guns
- Levels and laser levels
- Other standard hand and power tools
