Luxe Furniture Co. – Seeking Experienced Sewing & Upholstery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sewing and Upholstery Specialist with dedicated experience in high-end, luxury furniture production (sofas, chairs, custom pillows, and decorative trims).

Experience Required:

• Sewing: Minimum 5 years (Required)
• Proven background working with luxury upholstery and high-end furniture

Key Responsibilities:

• Upholstering and sewing heavyweight woven fabrics and specialty materials
• Accurate measuring, marking, pattern alignment, and cutting
• Strong straight-stitch sewing skills with precise, consistent seam allowances
• Expert zipper installation in custom pillow covers
• Proper fabric squaring and pattern matching
• Expertise with multi-layer heavyweight fabrics
• Full mastery of industrial needle, thread, stitch length, and tension settings
• Professional edge-finishing techniques to prevent fraying
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship

Equipment Requirements:

• Must provide your own heavy-duty or industrial-grade sewing machine capable of consistently processing mud cloth and heavyweight fabrics
• Must supply appropriate heavy-duty needles, threads, cutting tools, and sewing accessories

Candidates must be fully equipped and confident handling complete upholstery construction, from initial cutting through final assembly and finishing.
