Job Title: HVAC Installer (1099 Independent Contractor)

Location: Oklahoma (various job sites)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Installer (1099 Independent Contractor) to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and light commercial projects throughout Oklahoma. The ideal candidate is reliable, skilled in HVAC installation, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation systems

Replace existing HVAC units and components

Perform proper system sizing and installation according to manufacturer specifications

Install and modify duct systems when required

Ensure all work complies with local Oklahoma codes and safety regulations

Test systems for proper operation and efficiency

Troubleshoot installation issues as they arise

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Communicate with project managers, dispatch, and customers when needed

Document completed work and submit installation reports

Requirements

Proven HVAC installation experience (2+ years preferred)

Knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems

Ability to read installation manuals, blueprints, and schematics

Valid EPA Certification (Universal or Type II)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Must provide own basic installation tools

Ability to lift 50–75 lbs

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Oklahoma HVAC mechanical license (preferred but not always required depending on role)

Experience with split systems, package units, mini splits, and heat pumps

Sheet metal or duct fabrication experience

Experience with new construction and retrofit installations

Compensation

1099 Contract Pay (Per Job / Per Install / Negotiated Rate)

Competitive rates based on experience and job scope

Flexible scheduling based on project availability
