Description
ICON Real Estate Services is a growing professional management company specializing in multifamily housing throughout Western Washington since 2015. We are currently seeking a responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of a portfolio of multifamily properties throughout the Greater Seattle area.
This is a great opportunity to work in a flexible part-time role with a locally owned Pacific Northwest company that specializes in multifamily property management. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is committed to providing excellent service to our residents and clients.
Pay: $32.00 per hour
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Performing unit turns, including pre-move-in and move-out inspections, vendor scheduling, turnover maintenance, and final punch-list completion.
- Communicating regularly with property management staff regarding unit turns, maintenance needs, and property conditions.
- Completing resident work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshooting and performing repairs related to drywall, painting, texturing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliances, locks, and other building systems.
- Performing appliance repairs, including refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, and washer/dryers.
- Monitoring the overall condition of assigned properties and proactively identifying maintenance concerns.
- Policing grounds by removing trash, removing graffiti, inspecting landscaping, maintaining planter boxes, and ensuring common areas remain clean and presentable.
- Coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed and assisting with project oversight.
- Ordering building supplies and maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.
- Maintaining an organized work area and storage/shop space.
- Ensuring all move-out maintenance and resident maintenance requests are completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Following all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment and reporting safety hazards immediately.
- Updating work order notes and communicating completed work to management.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in multifamily or commercial property management.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Drywall repair
- Painting and texturing
- General carpentry
- General plumbing
- Appliance troubleshooting and repair
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must maintain current vehicle insurance.
- Must provide and maintain personal basic hand tools.
- Ability to travel between assigned properties throughout the Bellevue-Redmond area.
- Experience with AppFolio or other property management software.
- Experience with occupied-unit maintenance and apartment turnovers.

Pay: $32.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Approximately 20-30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on portfolio needs.
