Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Semi Skilled Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role is perfect for individuals eager to develop their skills in the construction and carpentry fields while contributing to high-quality residential projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading tape measures, swinging hammers, and utilizing various tools provided for the job. Duties

Accurately read tape measures to ensure precise measurements for framing, trimming, or material placement
Use hammers and hand tools efficiently to assemble, install, or modify building components
Operate power tools designed for woodworking and carpentry tasks with a focus on safety and precision
Assist with framing, drywall installation, siding, and other residential carpentry projects following construction plans and blueprints
Support skilled tradespeople by preparing materials, handling heavy lifting, and maintaining a clean work environment
Follow safety protocols related to power tool use, material handling, and site procedures to prevent accidents
Collaborate with team members on remodeling, fixture installation, door hanging, cabinet installation, and other finishing tasks
Qualifications

Ability to read tape measures accurately and interpret basic construction plans or blueprints
Experience with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, etc., and familiarity with power tools used in woodworking and carpentry
Prior construction site experience or background in residential carpentry preferred
Knowledge of wood construction materials including framing lumber, drywall, siding, stucco, and trim components
Understanding of power tool safety standards and proper handling techniques
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
Strong work ethic with attention to detail; willingness to learn new skills in remodeling, mold remediation or rebar installation
