Position: Mobile Semi-Trailer Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Semi-Trailer Mechanic to perform on-site repairs and maintenance at customer locations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to diagnose and repair a wide variety of trailer issues with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and customer service calls using a company service truck.
• Diagnose and repair semi-trailers, including dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, and chassis.
• Perform brake, suspension, axle, wheel-end, hub, and bearing repairs.
• Repair or replace roll up doors, floors.
• Roof, Rail and Panel repair.
• Perform frame repairs, welding, fabrication.
• Repair liftgates, landing gear, mud flaps, lighting, ABS, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair air systems, including valves, chambers, hoses, and air leaks.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and DOT-related repairs.
• Maintain company service truck, tools, and inventory.
• Communicate professionally with customers and office staff.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of semi-trailer repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of brakes, suspension, axles, wheel ends, structural repairs, welding, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and air system issues independently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic.
