Semi-Truck and Trailer Mechanic

Full-Time | 50–60 Hours Per Week | Overtime Opportunities

We are seeking experienced Semi-Truck and Trailer Mechanics for full-time opportunities.

This hands-on position combines shop work with mobile field service. Mechanics will diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment, and respond to roadside service calls throughout the surrounding area.

Schedule Options:
-5 days on / 2 days off
-14 days on / 7 days off
-Approximately 50–60 hours per week
-Overtime opportunities available
-Must be flexible based on service needs

Responsibilities:
-Diagnose and repair diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment
-Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
-Respond to roadside and mobile service calls
-Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
-Repair hydraulic, air brake, and suspension systems
-Utilize diagnostic software and electronic service tools
-Complete repairs efficiently to minimize equipment downtime
-Document inspections, repairs, and parts used
-Maintain service truck, tools, and equipment
-Communicate repair recommendations and status with customers and management
-Follow all required safety procedures

Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
-Minimum 3 years of tractor-trailer experience
-Experience working on Class 7 and Class 8 trucks and trailers
-Air Brake Certification or ability to meet minimum requirements
-Strong electrical diagnostic, hydraulic, and air brake experience
-Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals
-Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, PACCAR, Volvo, Mack, and Caterpillar engines preferred
-Experience with diagnostic software is a plus
-Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-CDL preferred but not required
-Must provide personal mechanic hand tools
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Candidates with Certifications go to the top of the list

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs., climbing, kneeling, bending, crawling, working underneath equipment, and performing repairs outdoors in varying weather conditions.
