Senior Commercial Plumber - Future Division Lead

Established commercial property management company in North County San Diego is seeking a highly experienced commercial plumber.

We are looking for someone who can independently diagnose and handle nearly all aspects of plumbing for commercial office, medical, retail, and industrial buildings. This is a senior-level position requiring extensive commercial plumbing experience and the ability to resolve complex plumbing issues with minimal supervision.

Initially, this person will complete plumbing service, repairs, replacements, and projects throughout our existing commercial property portfolio. Our long-term goal is to build a full-service plumbing division that will eventually serve outside commercial customers. The person hired for this position will have the opportunity to help develop and ultimately lead that division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and repair complex commercial plumbing problems
  • Handle leaks, backups, piping failures, pressure issues, fixtures, water heaters, sewer and drain lines, and other plumbing systems
  • Complete repairs, replacements, installations, and larger plumbing projects
  • Prepare scopes of work and accurate labor and material estimates
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, materials, and additional labor when needed
  • Communicate professionally with property managers, tenants, owners, and customers
  • Maintain thorough service notes and photographic documentation
  • Help establish procedures, pricing, staffing, and service standards as the plumbing division grows
SCHEDULE AND AFTER-HOURS WORK

  • Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day
  • Overtime will be required as needed
  • Responsible for responding to emergency plumbing calls during evenings and weekends
  • Certain projects may be scheduled at night or on weekends when work cannot be performed during a tenant’s normal business hours
  • Flexibility and dependability are required
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five years of commercial plumbing experience
  • Active California C-36 Plumbing Contractor license preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong diagnostic, estimating, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of commercial plumbing codes and permitting requirements
  • Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Supervisory, project-management, or plumbing business experience preferred
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
