Senior Energy Code Compliance INSPECTOR-RATER (Full-Time) ◀◀◀◀◀

ELEM3NTS (E3) is a well-established energy consulting firm rooted in San Jose and serving clients across all greater Bay Area. We specialize in ECC Inspections, Home Energy Audits, Home Energy Scores, Building Permit and Rebate Programs — helping homeowners and builders deliver healthier, high-quality, high-performance, energy-efficient homes.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Perform ECC field inspections and diagnostic testing (duct leakage, blower door, refrigerant charge, airflow, etc.) for single-family and multifamily projects
• Complete and upload documentation via CHEERS and company portal
• Act as the main point of contact for field, technical, or client issues
• Manage day-to-day site activities and solve on-site issues
• Partner with the Office Manager to coordinate job assignments, workflows, and client communications
• Mentor junior raters and act as the main liaison for builders and contractors
• Contribute to process improvements and help grow our Bay Area presence

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of active CA ECC/HERS field testing
• Strong working knowledge of Title 24, CBC energy codes, and the CHEERS platform
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring a field team
• Self-directed, reliable, and capable of managing multiple jobsites independently
• Able to explain technical field findings clearly to clients and builders
• BPI and HES certifications a significant plus
• Valid CA driver’s license (clean record) and comfortable with ladders, scaffolding, and active jobsites

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Salary - $75,000+ per year – Based on experience
