Harrison Group is recruiting a Senior Field Service Tech/Engineer for a confidential, established industrial equipment manufacturer. This Milwaukee-based opportunity is open to qualified candidates anywhere in Wisconsin who are comfortable with weekday travel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Travel primarily Monday through Thursday to customer sites across the U.S.; approximately 80% of travel is domestic, with occasional international travel
  • Commission and start up custom industrial equipment
  • Debug electrical and control systems
  • Perform I/O troubleshooting and PLC troubleshooting/programming
  • Work with ladder logic, Allen-Bradley controls, VFDs, HMIs, motors, and related equipment
  • Support installation, preventive maintenance, third-party inspections, and general field service
  • Train customers and complete final equipment handoffs
  • Diagnose varied, custom-engineered systems with an inquisitive, hands-on approach
  • Coordinate schedules and travel logistics while working independently in the field
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with PLCs, ladder logic, I/O, VFDs, and HMIs
  • Allen-Bradley experience preferred
  • Solid mechanical aptitude; experience with motors or hydraulic equipment is a plus
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively during the workweek
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
