SENIOR / LEAD CARPENTER – $45-$50/HR

Jackson Carter Design Build, Inc. is a growing, family-owned residential construction and remodeling company based in Mt. Prospect, IL. We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Carpenter to join our team.

We specialize in high-end residential remodeling, renovations, repairs, and multi-family/condo association projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, take ownership of a scope of work, communicate professionally with clients, and deliver high-quality finished work.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction experience and strong hands-on carpentry skills, including:

High-end finish carpentry

Cabinet installation and modifications
Interior and exterior doors
Trim and millwork
Framing and layout
Reading plans and construction details
Drywall and patching
Small structural modifications
Hardware installation
Troubleshooting existing conditions
General residential remodeling
Leading a carpenter/helper when needed
Working independently and completing assigned scopes
Working cleanly and professionally in occupied homes
Professional interaction with homeowners and clients
REQUIREMENTS
5–10+ years of construction/carpentry experience
Strong residential remodeling experience
Own quality tools suitable for various carpentry work
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Clean driving and criminal record
Fluent English
Professional appearance and attitude
Reliable and punctual
Strong communication and organizational skills
Able to manage multiple priorities
Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Comfortable with ladders and heights
Good physical condition and endurance
Full-time availability
Willing to respond to occasional emergency calls

We work in many occupied, high-end homes. Professionalism, cleanliness, communication, and respect for the client's home are extremely important.
