Senior Scaffold Engineer (Licensed PE)

This role provides engineering oversight for scaffold design, specific to customer requirements, based on scope of work and design needs. Requirements include extensive knowledge and proven expertise in scaffolding systems, load capabilities, and functionality and PE licensure in multiple states.

Essential Job Functions:

• Legally seal & sign drawings: create stamped and sealed drawing sets, including load calculations
• Ensure all designs strictly comply with OSHA standards and meet Solid Platforms’ rigorous safety standards
• Multi-state license/stamp ability, specifically covering the US Midwest, East, and Southeastern states
• Knowledge and functionality in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Revit, Navisworks, and Avontus
• Experience and understanding in scaffolding design, limitations, and load ratings.
• Assist department with additional duties, as needed

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
• Active Professional Engineer license, with the ability to obtain comity/reciprocity in areas where Solid Platforms performs work (mainly US Midwest, East, and Southeastern states)
• Outstanding fluency and skill within AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Revit, Navisworks, and Avontus
• Minimum of four years of progressive engineering experience working under the supervision of a licensed PE experience
• Supervisory experience is a plus

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and/or may be located on a jobsite in a construction setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
