Sewing Production Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sewing Production Assistant to join our team. This position supports multiple areas of production, including sewing, fabric cutting, and shipping. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality products.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overlock (serger) machine to finish pillow covers.
• Re-thread and clean the overlock machines.
• Turn finished pillow covers right side out and prepare them for the next production stage.
• Assist the fabric cutter with staging materials and cutting fabric.
• Help prepare, pack, and ship orders.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked with materials.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or sewing experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Experience operating an industrial serger or sewing machine is a big plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
