Shop Assistant / Carpenter Helper – Driving, Fabrication & Installations (Long Island City)
Description:
Live Edge Brooklyn is looking for a hardworking, reliable shop assistant to join our custom millwork and fabrication team.
We build high-end custom furniture, cabinetry, architectural millwork, event displays, and other unique projects.
Responsibilities include:
Painting and finishing
Sanding and prep work
Assisting with fabrication and woodworking
Loading and unloading materials
Driving our company Sprinter van throughout NYC
Deliveries and installations
Keeping the shop clean and organized
Helping wherever needed
Ideal candidate:
Reliable and punctual
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs
Experience with woodworking, construction, painting, or fabrication is a plus (but we're willing to train the right person)
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Location: Long Island City, Queens
Hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (Some overtime may be available.)
Pay: Based on experience ($20–35/hour to start)
