Department: Operations/Shop
Reports to: Operations Manager/Shop Manager
Position Summary:
The Shop Assistant supports shop, yard and field operations by maintaining a clean, safe, organized facility and assisting mechanics and crews.
Essential duties:
- Maintain shop and yard cleanliness
- Wash, fuel, and prepare trucks and equipment
- Assist mechanics with repairs and maintenance
- Organize tools, parts and inventory
- Load/unload materials and pick up/deliver parts
- Assist with facility maintenance and other assigned duties
- Valid California driver's license
- Reliable attendance and transportation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Construction/shop experience preferred
Indoor/outdoor work around heavy equipment with occasional overtime as needed
