Shop & Equipment Mechanic / Maintenance Person

DURABLE ROOFING COMPANY – MIDLOTHIAN, IL

Durable Roofing Company is looking for a dependable, hands-on Shop & Equipment Mechanic / Maintenance Person to help maintain our trucks, roofing equipment, small engines, tools, and shop.

Might be a good fit for a retired mechanic/shop person looking to make extra money.

Duties may include:

Basic vehicle and truck maintenance and repairs

Small engine repair, troubleshooting, and rebuilding
Maintenance and repair of generators, compressors, roof cutters, blowers, hoists, and other construction equipment
Keeping equipment serviced, organized, and ready for the crews
Loading and unloading trucks and materials
General shop maintenance and organization
Picking up parts, materials, and equipment when necessary
Occasional delivery to jobsites

Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record

Mechanical ability and basic vehicle repair experience
Small engine and equipment repair/rebuilding experience
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Forklift experience helpful
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
Ability to understand basic work and safety instructions in English
Dependable attendance and a willingness to work
Common sense and the ability to figure things out are a big plus

We are looking for someone who takes care of equipment, keeps a shop organized, and can see something that needs attention and handle it without having to be told every step.

Trabajo estable durante todo el año.
