Job Title: Shop Laborer / Equipment Operator (lull)

Position Overview:

We are a geotechnical drilling contractor specializing in ground improvement and deep foundation systems, looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Laborer / Equipment Operator Trainee. This position is based out of our shop and is designed for someone who wants to learn the equipment, support field operations, and grow into a key role at the shop.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily shop operations including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the yard
• Assist mechanics with basic maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment and support trucks
• Wash, grease, fuel, and prep equipment for upcoming jobs
• Load and unload trucks, tooling, and materials
• Assist with mobilization and demobilization of equipment
• Perform basic inspections and report any issues
• Operate forklifts, skid steers, or other yard equipment (Experience Preferred)
• Travel to job sites as needed to assist crews and gain field experience

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn equipment and operations
• Interest in becoming a heavy equipment operator
• Ability to work in a physical, hands-on environment in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
• Dependable, team-oriented, and takes direction well

Preferred Experience:

• Construction, drilling, or heavy equipment experience
• Mechanical aptitude or prior shop experience
• Experience operating skid steer, forklift, or similar equipment
